What is the PRP treatment?
PRP hair restoration is a powerful and natural method that stimulates hair growth and strengthening. This treatment does not require daily pills, lotions, or chemical foams. PRP injection is a non-surgical option for patients suffering from alopecia or hair loss.
PRP consists of concentrated blood plasma, which has about three to five times the amount of platelets in the blood. In addition, it contains a Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), Transforming Growth Factor (TGF), and other bioactive proteins that aid in wound healing and hair growth.
PRP for Hair Loss
PRP hair restoration is a treatment that involves removing a patient’s blood and processing it in such a way that allows for the enriched cells (Platelet-Rich Plasma) to be separated and later injected back into the scalp. PRP contains essential proteins that stimulate natural growth and strengthen existing hair.
The PRP hair restoration requires multiple sessions and its results become apparent by the first 2-6 months of having started the treatments. The sessions must be continued periodically to maintain improvement.
Advantages of PRP therapy for hair loss:
- Simple, non-surgical procedure
- Multipleinjections: procedure of approximately 60 minutes
- Safe and reliable results
- Very fast recovery period
- Beautiful and natural results
Mechanism of action:
For the medical treatment of hair loss, professionals use PRP injection to stimulate the growth of the follicles, which reverses the hair miniaturization seen in both male and female hair loss patterns.
Benefits of PRP combined with DHI Direct Hair Transplant
Due to our extensive experience and development of studies on PRP for hair loss, we have found that combining it with Direct Hair Implantation presents positive results:
- Reduces erythema (redness and irritation)
- Reduces formation of crust or scabs
- Reduces trauma and inflammation
- Reduces customer discomfort and achieves faster healing
- Accelerates hair growth
- Increases follicle size per unit
- Increases longevity of existing hair
PRP and Mesotherapy can be implemented in the early stages of alopecia to delay its fall process. We also recommend it after the DHI implant, to stimulate the growth of implanted hair and delay the fall of others.
Both treatments must be preceded by professional advice and always accompanied in their regular use with Minoxidil and Finasteride if the patient is willing to use them.
